Biographical Sketch: James Marks, M.D., M.P.H., Senior V.P., directs Robert Wood Johnson Foundation’s Health Group.
Prior to joining RWJF, Marks was director of CDC’s National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion where he advanced systematic ways to prevent and detect diseases such as cancer, heart disease and diabetes, reduce tobacco use and address the obesity epidemic.
Marks received an M.D. from SUNY Buffalo, trained as a pediatrician at UCSF, and received his M.P.H. from Yale.
