Biographical Sketch:
Dr. Williams is the Norman Professor of Public Health, Professor of African andAfrican American Studies and of Sociology and director of the Lung Cancer Disparities Center at Harvard University. His research interests include socioeconomic and racial disparities in health, the effects of racism on health and the ways in which religious involvement can affect health. The Everyday Discrimination scale that he developed in one of the most widely used measures of discrimination in health studies.
