Biographical Sketch:
Michele Polacsek received her master’s degree in international health in 1989 and her doctoral degree in public health social and behavioral science in 1994 from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Michele has worked in Maine for the past 12 years at the Maine Center for Public Health, and more recently at the University of New England as a faculty member in the public health program. Michele’s work focuses on chronic disease prevention and childhood obesity.
