Biographical Sketch:
Brenda Seals, PhD, MPH, MA, is Executive Director and Research Associate for Native American Cancer Research. She has over 29 years experience in public health implementing health and wellness programs and conducting original research and program evaluation. Her original training is from the University of Iowa and Emory University School of Public Health. Dr. Seals is the Principal Investigator for numerous programs in the Denver metropolitan area and a CDC grant offering technical assistance to tribes and states to improve comprehensive cancer planning and breast and cervical early detection programs for Native Americans. Dr. Seals and NACR staff were recognized by the CDC for excellent contributions to Breast and Cervical and Comprehensive Cancer AIAN programs in 2008. She has widely published with over 80 articles and 130 presentations.
