Biographical Sketch:
Dr. Boston, a public health educator, behavior scientist and Center for Substance Abuse Prevention Fellow explores food insecurity and strategies to prevent the public health problems it causes. Her experience; community based participatory research, empowerment, participatory evaluation strategies and work developing community-academic partnerships for action-oriented research on inequities in health led to Project FOOD (For Our Own Development) Now. With interest in global gender equality, Qasimah’s doctorate examines women’s ability to overcome household food insecurity.
