Biographical Sketch:
Dr. Marylyn Morris McEwen's program of research focuses on decreasing health disparities among persons of Mexican origin who reside in the Arizona-Sonora, Mexico border region. For the past 22 years she has developed unique clinical experiences for health sciences students in interprofessional rural health training and has conducted studies with diverse populations. In these contexts she has examined factors that contribute to asymmetrical power relations that underpin human rights violations in this unique geopolitical region.
