Biographical Sketch: I am interested in several facets of public health. Three current focuses of my research and program coordination include (1) immigrant health, (2) health literacy and (3) medical education and training. I am particularly interested in analyzing secondary data collected by national health surveys (i.e. National Health Interview Survey) to examine health disparities by nativity status in preventive health behaviors, chronic disease and health literacy.
