This session will explore several current public health issues related to war and terrorism, including the dilemma of humanitarian military intervention to protect human rights, the threat of nuclear weapons, the Arms Trade Treaty, security threats related to climate change, and family reunification for "disappeared children" in El Salvador.
Session Objectives: To describe current public health issues of importance concerning war and terrorism and their health consequences.
To describe the roles of public health workers in addressing these issues.
