Engaged, Entertained & Empowered: Inspiring Hollywood to Create Stories that Promote Health and Well-being

Sandra de Castro Buffington, director of the Hollywood, Health & Society program at USC Annenberg's Norman Lear Center, will present a series of award-winning TV clips on public health topics, discuss how HH&S inspired and informed 365-aired story lines from 2009-2013, and show the impact of selected storylines on viewers' knowledge, attitudes and behavior. Audience members will learn how they can serve as subject matter experts for HH&S to advise Hollywood's writers and producers on storylines for television and movies.
