This sessions offers participants the opportunity to explore the roles of different types of healthcare providers who support breastfeeding mothers. Strategies to improve care delivery in varied settings and to support women with physiological challenges to breastfeeding will be discussed.
Session Objectives: Discuss the role of the clinician in breastfeeding support
Discuss the role of the IBCLC in breastfeeding support
Examine breastfeeding support for women with mammary hypoplasia and/or insufficient glandular tissue
