The impact of pain management during labor on breastfeeding initiation and duration

This session provides participants with the opportunity to discuss the impact of labor pain management strategies on breastfeeding initiation and duration. The impact of pain management will be examined from the immediate post birth time through early infancy. Infant and maternal breastfeeding challenges related to pain management will be reviewed.
