This session will discuss the relationship between why we need to think globally and act locally. In today's world where we are interconnected by technology, there needs to be more resource sharing among the developing and the developed nations. The presentations in this sesion will discuss the importance of team work and grass roots strategies among a diverse group of people. The role of public orivate partnerships and UN agencies will also be discussed. The impact of local policies which have a far reaching impact on various public health challenges such as maternal mortality, food security confronting us will be discussed. In addition the link between human rights and the practice of public health will be highlighted.
