Qualified on the content I am responsible for because: My work involves several public health arenas with the common thread of improving health disparities among communities of color. My current research will focus on the intersection between children’s environmental health and obesity using a sociomedical sciences lens and community-based participatory research principles. I have been studying the food insecurity/obesity paradox through a social justice framework. I aim to further my understanding of the intersection of the environment and obesity through mixed methods approaches.
