I am currently academic coordinator for Berkeley’s combined master’s program in public health and journalism, the MPH/MJ. I was a reporter and editor for ten years at the San Francisco Chronicle and I am a frequent contributor to the New York Times, so I understand the role that media organizations play in the process of translating scientific findings into policy.
