His research focuses on access to, and quality of, mental health services for vulnerable children, especially those in the child welfare system. Prior to his appointment as an assistant professor of psychiatry at Washington University, he was policy director for the National Child Traumatic Stress Network and a Public Health Fellow at the UCLA/RAND Center for Adolescent Health Promotion.
