The purpose of this presentation will be to describe the complementary roles of public health ethics and public health law and how these two fields can best work together to address ethical issues in public health practice.  Examples will be included to illustrate how both law and ethics approach decision making.

Qualified on the content I am responsible for because: Currently, my primary focus is developing and delivering training aimed at increasing the capacity of public health practitioners across governmental levels to understand and use law to advance public health goals. I have presented trainings, taught courses, and published on a broad range of topics including public health emergency law, tribal public health law, health disparities, careers in public health, and environmental public health law.
