Overview of Training Resources and Guide/Planning, implementing, and evaluating the “Putting Public Health Evidence into Action” Training

The session overview will introduce participants, who have basic knowledge of evidence-based interventions and want training to locate resources for evidence-based strategies or programs, to the materials currently available. The first session will introduce the program for the training and introduce participants to one another for the interactive curriculum. The final session of the Institute, following the learning from the previous sessions, will briefly recap covered materials, allow for an extended question and answer period where speakers can highlight case studies, effective strategies, challenges faced, and where new resources, learning opportunities, and forums for collaboration are available.

Explain session outline and introduce speakers Discuss the Facilitators’ guide and other available training resources Identify how participants might use resources to plan, implement, and evaluate a local training Discuss challenges and success with designing, planning, and implementing the training for diverse audiences Invite participants to raise questions and share experiences Identify resources and forums where participants can connect and collaborate with other public health professionals to ask questions, discuss ideas and solutions, share useful resources and tools, and participate in cyber-seminars and other events
