This presentation will lay the foundation on how to navigate the data section of HealthyPeople.gov and will provide the background needed to fully comprehend the information highlighted in the disparities and sub-national data sections of the Learning Institute. This segment will use select objectives and data sources from the Healthy People Initiative as examples to demonstrate the DATA2020 tool on HealthyPeople.gov. DATA2020 allows users to locate information used to track and measure Healthy People objectives including population-level data, technical specifications, measures of variability, historical information, and charts and maps, in addition to detailed data source descriptions. Time will also be made available to perform customized data and metadata searches with guidance from a DATA2020 expert.
