Wisconsin’s Genetic Systems Integration Hub (GSI Hub) represents a unique, creative, and evolving collaboration that connects state public health systems, Genetics health professionals, and others.  The GSI Hub is the result of a joint effort  between state Title V-funded Maternal Child Health (MCH) programs, the Waisman Center-University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (UCEDD), the Wisconsin Genetic Advisory Committee, and other partners. The goal is to promote the integration of Genetics health care services with state MCH public health systems.  The presentation will provide background information on the development and evolution of the GSI Hub as a statewide collaborative.   Successes, challenges, resources and future plans will be shared.  The presentation will highlight specific strategies, including:  education and outreach activities for families, genetics professionals, and other health care providers; cross-sector engagement focusing on insurance coverage for genetic testing; and programming relating to specific conditions, prevention of birth defects and genetics of special populations.
