Moderator, Investing in the Infrastructure of Neighborhoods: Cross Disciplinary Partnerships for Revitalization and Community Health Improvement

As moderator for the Special Session “Investing in the Infrastructure of Neighborhoods: Cross Disciplinary Partnerships for Revitalization and Community Health Improvement”, I draw upon my experience at the origins  in the US of the Healthy Communities Movement and with the Coalition for Healthier Cities and Communities, as well as my current work on population health, to frame this discussion at the intersection of community development and health. I will set the stage for our panelist to explore the ways in which the work of community development, when partnered with other sectors, can produce transformative change for community health and well-being.
