Qualified on the content I am responsible for because: I have been Director of Strong Beginnings Healthy Start since its inception in 2004 and oversaw its growth from enrolling 200 families per year to 600. An independent research project demonstrated we are reaching the highest risk women while achieving significantly better outcomes than similar women not enrolled. The interconception program we developed received NACCHO’s highest designation of Model Program. For four years I have served on the National Healthy Start Association Executive Board.

I am also the Director for the US & Border Programs office for Project Concern International. As Project Director I maintain the health delivery system, education, and care coordination process for twelve Healthy Start communities within the south side of Chicago.
