Chicago Public Schools promotes daily physical activity to all 400,000 students by providing resources and technical assistance to implement daily physical education, recess and physical activity throughout the day. Daily physical activity is implemented through a variety of strategies, including passage of policies, provision of technical assistance, professional development, proof of concept pilots and partnerships. Chicago Public Schools will present strategies and coordinating data.

Qualified on the content I am responsible for because: I was the founding PE teacher and Director of Health and Wellness at Namaste Charter School, a national model of urban school wellness. I am currently the Physical Activity Specialist for the Chicago Public Schools Office of Student Health and Wellness where I oversee all programming related to Comprehensive School Physical Activity. In addition, I am a national Physical Activity Leader trainer for Let's Move Active Schools via SHAPE America.
