Mary Jarvis, RN BSN, will discuss the close working relationship with Jackson County Health Department which was a part of the We Choose Health grant and is currently working on achieving Baby Friendly status at Memorial Hospital Carbondale.

Explain the hospital role and health department role in support of breastfeeding through Baby Friendly. Discuss what factors are important to a successful Baby Friendly implementation in each of the Baby Friendly 10 steps.
