Using Community Health Improvement Planning to enhance Health in All Policies work

Chicago is working toward achieving health equity through a Health in all Policies (HiaP)‎ approach in two ways: 1) By convening the Healthy Chicago Interagency Council for the purpose of working collaboratively across sectors and 2) Through the active participation of Healthy Chicago Interagency Council members in the development of the city's community health improvement plan. This plan aligns and supports our fellow government agency work in areas such as economic development, affordable housing, active transportation, and healthy schools policies; and will further public health ability to assure healthy, equitable communities.
