Health policy and management is a multidisciplinary field of inquiry and practice concerned with the delivery, quality and costs of health care for individuals and populations. This definition assumes both a managerial and a policy concern with the structure, process and outcomes of health services including the costs, financing, organization, outcomes and accessibility of care. My presentation will review the content of the CPH exam related to health policy and management. It will also provide study tips and other resources for CPH candidates.

Qualified on the content I am responsible for because: Dr. Lee has been a professor of health management for over 30 years. He was appointed to the Item Writing Committee for the National Board of Public Health Examiners credentialing examination. He serves as a member of the Governing Council of the APHA representing the Health Administration Section, and on the editorial board of several journals including the Journal of Health Administration Education and as co-editor of a special issue addressing doctoral education.
