Climate Change Impacts on Children's Health

This presentation will discuss the effects of climate change on child health, including increases in aeroallergens, changed patterns of infectious diseases, and effects of rising carbon concentration on the nutrient content of some of the world's most important crops critical for child and maternal nutrition. The presentation will also address the importance of health professionals leading to build understanding and awareness of the public health implications for children of climate change that cut across all major sectors, including worsened air quality, changes in spread of vector-borne diseases and devastation to communities due to extreme weather evens like floods and coastal storms.
