What began as a phone conversation between two concerned funders in 2010 has emerged as the reinvigorated and dynamic Illinois Association of Free & Charitable Clinics. This workshop examines what can happen when foundation officers and clinic leaders stretch beyond their job descriptions to build relationships, initiate new collaborations and roll up their shirtsleeves to strengthen a statewide safety net.

Qualified on the content I am responsible for because: I have twenty years’ experience in the nonprofit sector, having served as both the executive director of the grant making Ravenswood Health Care Foundation and now as the executive director of the Illinois Association of Free & Charitable Clinics. I have been involved with health care access issues and policy in the Chicago area since 2001.
