Peaceful Interruption and Prevention of Street Violence

Cure Violence works to head off street violence by (1) detecting and interrupting potentially violent conflicts, employing messengers who are credible to the youths they are helping; (2) identifying and treating those at highest risk of committing violence by connecting them with the social services they need; and (3) mobilizing their communities to change norms.  This presentation will outline this program has been adapted for implementation in the hospital setting.
