Qualified on the content I am responsible for because: I staffed the Coordinating Center of the NCI-funded ASSIST project (American Stop Smoking Intervention Study) from 1996 â 2001. This major investment in tobacco policy change by the Federal government resulted in a reduction in tobacco consumption in 17 states. I delivered numerous trainings and moderated sessions at the National Conference on Tobacco OR Health during that time. I am currently on the faculty at the University of Maryland School of Public Health.
