Qualified on the content I am responsible for because: Rebecca Palpant Shimkets is Associate Director for The Rosalynn Carter Fellowships for Mental Health Journalism of the Carter Center Mental Health Program. She manages the stigma reduction activities and a journalism fellowship program that awards 10 annual stipends to professional journalists to produce a significant work on mental health or mental illnesses. She also participates on national advisory boards as an expert in stigma and the accurate portrayal of mental illnesses in the media.
