Qualified on the content I am responsible for because: I grew up in an AI community and understand many of the issues faced by native people. I have served as an abstract for the AI/AN/NH Caucus. I have a Master's in Public Health with a concentration in Public Administration. My academic research involved a number of policy topics impacting indigenous people including environmental, self-determination, identity, culture, and federal policies. I recently submitted a draft manuscript on diabetes and carbohydrate metabolism among Pima Indians.
