Qualified on the content I am responsible for because: I have worked on multiple NIH-funded grants focusing on health behavior change research in vulnerable populations. I am currently a co-investigator on an NIH-funded grant to expand an academic-community partnership addressing environmental justice issues related to obesity. My research interests include health disparities, social determinants of health and chronic disease prevention and control. I am especially interested in the social, cultural, and environmental contexts that shape or constrain health-related behavior in minority populations.
