Public Health Law and Climate Change

This session will give attendees a primer on the basic issues of climate change and its implications for states and localities both for near-term health effects and implications, i.e. next 50 years, as well as long-term implications and policy issues to address global climate change over a much longer time frame.
Session Objectives: 1. Explain the health effects of climate change 2. Discuss the ways law can be used to mitigate climate change and its health effects 3. describe short- and long-term health implications of climate change
