U.S. - Mexico Border Health: Challenges and Opportunities

Mexico-US Border is a region that presents significant economic, social, cultural and demographic differences. Nevertheless, this region share similar challenges regarding health issues. Besides, the Mexico-US Border reunites diverse vulnerable populations, as immigrant population. Therefore, the Mexican government through the Minister of Health and the Border Health Commission has implemented diverse initiatives to improve the health conditions in this region, as Ventanillas de Salud, Healthy Border 2020 and Módulo de atención a la salud del migrante repatriado (Repatried migrants health care program), for instance.
Session Objectives: Describe some of the initiatives implemented for the Mexican Minister of Health-Border Health Commission to improve the health conditions of the Border region populations.
