This presentation describes a data tool that was developed specifically to highlight health disparities. This is a product of the collaboration among HHS Office of Minority Health, Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion, and CDC's National Center for Health Statistics. This data tool summarizes health disparities as well as tracks changes in disparities over time for measurable population-based Healthy People 2020 objectives with available data. This presentation demonstrates how the interactive tool can be used to display certain graphs, charts, tables, and narrative texts that answer certain research questions, and shows how the tool can be used to explore a variety of issues on health disparities among subpopulations.
