This session will provide an overview of the All of Us (AOU) Research Program, a historic effort to create a cohort of one million or more people living in the United States to accelerate research and improve health. By taking into account individual differences in lifestyle, environment, and biology, researchers will uncover paths toward delivering precision medicine.

Will provide an overview of the All of Us (AOU) Research Program, a historic effort to create a cohort of one million or more people living in the United States to accelerate research and improve health. By taking into account individual differences in lifestyle, environment, and biology, researchers will uncover paths toward delivering precision medicine. Presenter is the Director of Health Policy and Federal Affairs at the Black Women’s Health Imperative (BWHI), a member of the AOU Community and Provider Gateway Initiative. BWHI is the only national organization dedicated solely to improving the health and wellness of our nation’s 21 million Black women and girls and has been assisting AOU in outreach and engagement with the African American community. Presenter will describe the background of African American involvement and investment in research and the current AOU outreach work of BWHI.

This session will cover the All of Us Research Program, a historic effort to gather data from one million or more people living in the United States to accelerate research and improve health. By taking into account individual differences in lifestyle, environment, and biology, researchers will uncover paths toward delivering precision medicine. Presenter will speak to the importance of Precision Medicine for persons with disabilities. He will discuss the current gaps in research, efforts of AAHD to reach out to the disability community, and the future of such research in improving health outcomes for persons with disabilities.

This session will provide an overview of the All of Us Research Program, a historic effort to create a cohort of one million or more people living in the United States to accelerate research and improve health. By taking into account individual differences in lifestyle, environment, and biology, researchers will uncover paths toward delivering precision medicine. Presenter is co-PI for San Ysidro Health’s All of Us Research Program, one of six Federally Qualified Health Centers recruiting under-represented minorities. He will explain the strategies San Ysidro Health is using to engage the community in All of Us and the results of their efforts. Presenter will cover some of the best practices and notable findings of San Ysidro’s work.
