I is No Longer for Invisble: Measuring Intersex Populations

Populations of people born with variations in sex characteristics, or intersex traits, are increasingly found to experience health disparities. However, little research exists regarding evidence-based practices for identifying respondents with intersex traits in survey, clinical, and research settings. This presentation will review the unique measurement challenges for intersex populations, best available evidence, and recommendations from the National Academies Report on Measuring LGBTQI+ Populations.
