APHA 2023 Annual Meeting and Expo
This presentation will provide an overview of research examining the health co-benefits of climate change mitigation and inclusion of health in climate action plans (CAPs), including whether and how public health practitioners have been involved in developing and implementing these plans. CAPs are jurisdictional plans that set out goals for greenhouse gas emissions reduction and management, identify policies and actions to achieve these goals, and provide a framework for implementing actions. The presenter will also discuss a vision for the role of public health practitioners in climate change mitigation activities and recommendations for the field.
