ServeMN located in Minneapolis, Minnesota, supports the Minnesota Public Health Corps, one of the largest Public Health AmeriCorps models. This capacity-building program places AmeriCorps members directly into governmental public health settings across the state, creating both short and long-term benefits for partner sites and members. This session will share successes, challenges and data-based insights for Minnesota Public Health Corps.

Trailhead institute located in Denver, Colorado, has a robust Public Health AmeriCorps program: Colorado Public Health Works. Colorado Public Health Works is an apprenticeship program that allows members to gain experience in public health roles and pursue their Community Health Worker (CHW) certifications. This session will explore how Public Health AmeriCorps evaluates this robust and wide-reaching program and share early evaluation results demonstrating how PHA is meeting communities’ urgent public health needs and creating flexible pathways into the public health workforce.
