Community Health Planning and Policy Development Late Breakers

Meeting theme: "Together We Thrive: Health Across the Lifespan"

Submission Deadline: Wednesday, July 8, 2026

The Community Health Planning and Policy Development (CHPPD) Section invites submissions of late-breaker abstracts that focus on centering community voice in public health practice. Submissions may present findings from scientific research, program evaluations, policy analyses, or practice-based lessons learned.

We particularly encourage submissions from students across disciplines, including those addressing social determinants of health, health policy and analysis, health informatics, and other emerging topics, for inclusion in a curated poster session.

All abstracts must be submitted through the APHA website and should not exceed 250 words. Submissions must follow the standard structured format, including background, methods, results, and discussion sections; extended abstracts will not be accepted. For additional details, please refer to the full abstract submission guidelines in the original call for abstracts.

Authors should submit abstracts only if they, or a designated co-presenter, are prepared to present and to cover applicable membership and registration fees for the Annual Meeting in San Antonio.
