Oral
The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) created a comprehensive approach to moving the nation from a system that focuses on sickness to one that focuses on achieving and maintaining health. Within the law are several important provisions that have the enormous potential to improve the overall health of the population. In addition, the newly released National Prevention Strategy (NPS) will play a pivotal role in guiding many prevention and wellness activities. This break out session will focus on discussing exemplars of prevention and wellness activities initiated since the passage of the ACA, with an emphasis on their relationship to the NPS.
