The SE MN Beacon program represents 11 county public health departments, 47 public school districts, and several health care providers. It is focused upon building infrastructure for better use of health data to improve asthma and diabetes. These changes are infused and guided through the values and preferences of the community.

Qualified on the content I am responsible for because: I am the Associate Director of Olmsted County Public Health overseeing aged and disabled programs, WIC (Women, Infants & Children), and public health informatics. In my Informatics role I serve as the public health project manager for the SE MN Beacon project and project manager for the PH-DOC 2012 core system rewrite. I was part of the inaugural class for Public Health Informatics Institute Informatics Academy and many other focused workgroups.
