I have been responsible for 24 county health departments and 9 public health administrations (AIDS, Alcohol/Drug Abuse, Community Health, Family Health, Developmental Disabilities, Medical Examiner's Office, Mental Health, Anatomy Board, an the state Laboratory) with a budget of over $2 billion and between 6,000 to 11,000 employees. I was responsible for overseeing 17 state owned and operated hospitals.
