Elena Andresson, PhD, St. Louis University, cccccc, St. Louis, MO 40076, 6173339293, N/A

The core of the Healthy People objectives revolves around data. Discussion of the two kinds of objectives--data driven and developmental--will be provided. Application of those principles will be made to the disability and secondary conditions objectives. Particular attention will be given the objectives from other chapters which have data sources, but which do not currently have questions to identify people with disabilities in their survey instruments. Current and future directions for including disabilty status as a variable on surveillance tools will be discussed, and suggestions for involving public health personnel will be made.

Learning Objectives: 1. Participants will be able to identify unique data issues in HP 2010 for people with disabilities

Keywords: Data/Surveillance, Healthy People 2000/2010
