State programs: keys to implementation of Healthy People 2010

If data is the core of Healthy People objective development, state involvement is the key to implementing interventions which will help to meet the objectives. This presentation will discuss the ways in which disability and health priorities can be included in state Healthy People plans. Variations across state organizations will be discussed, along with common opportunities across states. Issues of data collection and program opportunities and barriers will be prsesented.

Learning Objectives: 1. Participants will be able to identify ways in which state disability and health programs can move the Healthy People agenda of improved health of people with disabilities
