Deborah Thomson, JD, Massachusetts Chapter, Alzheimer's Association, 36 Cameron Ave, Cambridge, MA 02139, 617-868-6718, deborah.thomson@alz.org

The state of Massachusetts is developing a new program called MassHealth Senior Care Options. This program will offer dually eligible older adults the option of enrolling with an integrated network of health and social service providers. These networks are referred to as Senior Care organizations (SCOs). This presentation will explain how the state Alzheimer's Association in Massachusetts has been involved in the development of the Senior Care Options program to help assure that SCOs provide persons with dementia and their families access to a broad range of services appropriate to their needs.

Learning Objectives: Understand how chapters of the Alzheimer's Association work to improve managed care and state health policy for persons with dementia.
