The price of TB drugs vary dramatically between the US and other countries. This paper will present information on how TB drug prices have changed over time in US and internationally and between countries. The reasons for differences in prices will be assessed and possible options for reducing drug prices will be suggested. As there have been no significant discoveries of TB drugs for the past thirty five years, nearly all TB drugs are off patent and yet prices vary considerably.
