Existing Public and Private Prevention and Treatment Policies and Programs

There are a number of different programs that exist in both the public and private sector to address the issues of violence against women. There are components that will be described that seem to be effective in protecting women from violence and for treating the perpetrator of violence. Results of existing evaluations of these programs and the implications for such will be discussed.

Learning Objectives: After the session, participants will be able to: Identify program components that appear to be effective in protecting women from violence and treating the perpetrator of violence. List program evaluation findings and discuss their implications
