Finding work in global health: A guide for the perplexed

In this practical professional development session, presenters will offer insights into the fast-developing career world of global health. Participants will be given an overview of current trends and major organizations in global health; tools for assessing their own level of training, skills and experience; and information on how to carry out the search for the perfect global health assignment.

Learning Objectives: By the end of this presentation, participants will be able to: provide an overview of volunteer and career opportunities in the field of international health; assess their own motivations, training and experience; research global health job openings and and volunteer options; and prepare for an initial overseas assignment
