Donald Elisburg, BS, JD1, John B. Moran, BS1, and Ruth Ruttenberg, Phd2. (1) Consultant, NIEHS Clearinghouse, #1111, 177 Ocean Lane Drive, Key Biscayne, FL 33149, 305-361-1298, delisbur@dc.infi.net, (2) Ruth Ruttenberg & Associates

The primary purpose of this report was to develop and provide information about Advanced Training Technologies to facilitate discussion of potential applications, potential pitfalls, and ATT among the NIEHS HAZPOWER worker-training awardees. Central to these considerations is the preservation of the core values of the NIEHS training program, a program that is deemed the "national standard." The report provides the initial basis for an organized approach to utilization of ATT by the HAZWOPER worker training awardees, and integrates the HAZWOPER-specific training issues that need to be addressed when considering the application of ATT to such training. The report also includes a summary of the workshop breakout team issues, along with a summary of the issues agreed upon by the workshop participants in the closing plenary. In general, the analysis focuses on HAZWOPER training programs and aspects of ATT applications of most relevance to the NIEHS awardees.
